Biography
Known as one of Asia's talented female painters, Van Duong Thanh grew up in Hanoi and studied 12 years at Vietnam University of Fine Arts. From 1980 – 1987, She once researched at the Institute for Cultural Research, Ministry of Culture. From then until now, She composes and teaches painting in Sweden and Hanoi.

Thanh's works were first collected by the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts when new 20 year old. Since then, Many of her works have been 16 National Museums of Art around the world collect such as: Vietnam, India, China, Mongolia, Singapore, Ba Lan, Romania, Moldova, Spain and Sweden. (Nehru Museum, Beijing Museum of Ethnology, Singapore Museum of Fine Arts, Bucharest Museum of Ethnology, Iasi Palace National Museum of Fine Arts, Friedrich Chopin Museum, Staffanstorp Art Gallery,…)
