Female artist Van Duong Thanh brought paintings by famous artist Bui Xuan Phai to the exhibition “The sound of silence”

Exhibition “The sound of silence” (The sound of silence) của hoạ sĩ Văn Dương Thành vừa khai mạc tại Hà Nội. Triển lãm trưng bày bộ tranh mới của họa sĩ Văn Dương Thành, including 40 painting about cranes, beautiful nature, phố cổ Hà Nội và bộ chân dung những nhân vật lịch sử nổi tiếng.

Đặc biệt người xem sẽ được chiêm ngưỡng bức tranh chân dung Văn Dương Thành do danh họa Bùi Xuân Phái sáng tác. The work has been displayed at the Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts (year 2000) and this is its first launch in Vietnam. The painting exhibition takes place against the background of classical music performed by famous Romanian artist Iulian Ochescu.

batch_Tranh hoạ sĩ Vă — Overseas Vietnamese female artist Van Duong Thanh brought paintings by famous artist Bui Xuan Phai from Sweden to Vietnam for exhibition.

The exhibition takes place at V-Art Space, tầng 1, Ciputra Club, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi, from date 30/3 – 15/5.

Artist Van Duong Thanh was born in Phu Yen, grew up in Hanoi, ever studied 12 years at Vietnam University of Fine Arts. From then until now, She lives and teaches painting in Sweden and Vietnam. Her works have received awards from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, was first collected by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum when she was new 20 tuổi.

Many of Van Duong Thanh's works have been collected by art museums around the world such as the Nehru Museum, Beijing Museum of Ethnology, Singapore Museum of Fine Arts, Iasi Palace National Museum of Fine Arts, Friedrich Chopin Museum…

Artist Van Duong Thanh is known as one of Asia's talented artists. The author has had paintings displayed at 16 national museums in the world. She received a letter of thanks from President Obama during his time in office.

Year 2016, US President Barack Obama visited Vietnam, Artist Van Duong Thanh was the lucky person to draw a picture of Hanoi for him.

Artist Van Duong Thanh had approx 2.000 painting and 100 personal exhibition. She is also the first Vietnamese to be selected for CFM-Snecma's International Outstanding Arts program., America-France 2 times in years 1995 and 1997 (International Excellence of Art) and “Honor Vietnam” (Glory of Vietnam) year 2007 at the Temple of Literature, Hanoi.

Nữ hoạ sĩ đã tổ chức nhiều lớp dạy vẽ từ thiện, support difficult children.

From May 4-6/2023, bà đảm nhiệm vai trò thành viên Ban Giám khảo cuộc thi vẽ tranh “Dream house” Organized by Vietnam Children's Magazine.
