More than 200 invited guests from many countries, representing the Polish Foreign Ministry, representatives of embassies, cultural institutions, museums, scientific institutes and organizations in Vietnam - Poland,  fans of Van Duong Thanh’s art attended the opening ceremony.

Also present were: VTV4, Polish TV, the Polish news agency, representatives of the press from Vietnam, the international photographer Krzysztof M. Ratschaka, the director of Cultural Center Van Lang, representatives of the Vietnam and Poland Writers Association, collector  such as Anki Hoglund (Sweden), Dr. Ute Schmidt (Germany), and engineer Van Thi Cach (Prague).

Especially: The two new paintings by Van Duong Thanh, "Sonata of Fryderyk Chopin", lacquer, 1/3/2011 will be chosen for the collection of the Asia and Pacific Museum in Warsaw. And "Inspirations from flowers" oil painting, 3/8/2011 will be included in the collections of the Museum Botanical Garden.

According to Prof. Dr. Puchalski, the exhibition will be viewed by over 2000 people per week.

Dr. Mr. Andrzej Wawrzyniak gave a speech on cultural relations between the two countries, his deep love for Vietnam, and especially the art of Vietnam has always been in favor of Chopin country. Thirty five works of painter Van Duong Thanh have brought a new perspective and a unique impression which are warmly welcomed here. Works by Van Duong Thanh brought the images of beauty of Vietnam to Poland, such as corners of old towns, flowers, and green fields. Besides, there are paintings of the Wawel Royal Castle, Fryderyk Chopin which have touched the hearts of international friends.


Prof. Dr. Jerzy Puchalski read his hearty congratulations to the painter Van Duong Thanh and said he would be honored to display her collection, whose name is known internationally,  in The Botanical Garden.

HE. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Poland, Mr. Nguyen Hoang gave a speech in Polish, expressing his thanks to the museums which have organized this exhibition "The flowers of Vietnam on Chopin's land "by the painter Van Duong Thanh. She has received the award "Glory of Vietnam", a cultural ambassador and a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and other countries through over 1.600 works and 70 exhibitions at home and abroad.
